I bought myself 1000 stones then found myself 1000 words. As I flipped through the thin pages of  the dictionary I convinced myself time and time again not to give up. This time I was going to follow through. Beginning at "A", in order nor to duplicate a word, I slowly and sometimes desperately made my way to "Z". I chose the words I liked most then wrote each one on a stone.

Purchasing the cement board was easy but what followed proved at times to be tedious, my knees and feet aching from being bent over in the garage hour after hour. The excitement of completing my "masterpiece" erased all pain, physical and mental. I was ecstatic, eager to bring my work to my blog.
Each stone above was laid one at a time using mortar which my husband tirelessly mixed for me. I blessed each one with love, and with tired hands and dirty fingers I placed each in the right place. Each stone holds a dream, a promise that a word can make or break a person. I can only hope that each can make you stronger, a little more hopeful. I hope each fills you with wonder. Most of all I hope you take at least one word with you on your own journey. Use it to survive the hardships and light your way. May each one be a "stepping stone" towards your goals and dreams

All of the pictures and art work accompanying my posts are a result of my daughters hard work and dedication!
